Glentruim and Kingussie (Brian's home town) are situated in the middle of Cairngorm National Park. This park is spectacualr in many ways all year round.
The River Spey is 172km long and pretty stunning along it's length either by road or kayak.
Speyside whisky is famous worldwide - take a trip through as many famous distilleries as your legs can handle.
Of course no trip to Scotland would be considered complete unless a visit to Loch Ness had been taken.At 230m deep it holds more fresh water than all the lakes in England and Wales COMBINED.
Scotland has 94 permanently inhabited islands - mainly off the West Coast with spectacular scenery and wonderful warm people. Fully expect to get locked in the pub for an all night music and drink session with the locals.
